Goodbye 2017, and goodbye to Mariah Carey’s naysayers.

The Queen of Christmas valiantly took the New Year’s Rockin’ Eve stage minutes before the ball drop in Times Square, NYC once more for a chance to vindicate herself after last year’s debacle, and succeeded triumphantly.

The pressure was sky high and the temperature was below freezing, but Mariah was confident, poised, and ready to remind us why she is indeed, a Legend.

Beginning with her debut single, 1990’s “Vision of Love,” Ms. Mariah Carey showcased her signature vocals, before gliding into her 1993 signature song, “Hero.” Considering all that she went through this year, both songs were quite poignant choices – but especially “Hero.” No doubt, all her supporters were emotionally moved by its lyrics, as they listened to her beautifully belt out the motivational classic.

With the same golden notes that made Mariah Carey the superstar she is today, she once more proved her worth. Of course, while her worth is undeniable to us, sadly there were some naysayers out there that needed a reminder. We imagine they are likely speechless now, seething silently.

With a new management team in place (RocNation), and a stellar performance to kick off 2018, we are sure that the year to come will bring great things for Ms. Carey. Of course, we’ll be here every step of the way. But for now, we celebrate the greatness of everyone’s “Hero” today, Mariah Carey… the Queen of Christmas, and, now, officially, of Comebacks, too.
