While Missy’s take on the hook lacks the catchiness of the poppier original, it definitely makes the song slap with a sly, sexy edge atop the Timbaland beat. Whichever variation you choose, Janet’s “Go Deep” will have you partying late into the night.

Since we love nostalgia, we’re celebrating summer songs from 1998 as they turn 25, alongside new songs that we feel deserve some shine.
