She debuted at age 13 with the hit single, “Leave (Get Out)” but as much as the powers that be may have tried, they did not succeed in making her leave the music industry. After her hit single “Too Little, Too Late” and sophomore album The High Road dropped in 2006, JoJo embarked on a whirlwind ride through the music industry that no teenager should have to experience. In the 10 years in between, she dropped a few mixtapes and unforgettable covers to tide over her fans. However, at 25, she finally prevailed — releasing her third album, Mad Love., in 2016, and re-recording her first two albums in 2018 in order to regain control over her catalogue. Now, she’s the boss of her own label, Clover Music, and is poised to release her fourth album in 2020.
